On Friday, October 9th, David Sumner, age 10, died after he collapsed during practice on Thursday. David played for the Simi Valley Vikings in the Gold Coast Youth Football League.

The league has set up an account to accept donations for the Sumner family. Donations should be made out to the Memorial Fund for David Sumner and sent to Santa Barbara Bank & Trust (any branch)
